Unhealthy staff are protected by unions and I think that is one of the reasons some people dislike unions. Unions serve loads of good functions, but once they shield a nasty employee and hold them in a job where most non-union workers can be fired for his or her conduct and unhealthy work product, I believe then unions go too far. Bad employees aren’t even well worth the minimal wage much less the wages everyone ought to have after they do their job properly with and treat prospects correctly.
